*shudder*
Shiney Ahuja

Shiney Ahuja is out on bail and has been extensively shooting for Welcome Back after a gap of two years because of his legal issues. On his first day on sets, Anil Kapoor gave him a bear hug and said ‘welcome back, my boy!’. This is when the actor felt right at home and he knew that he’s made a comeback! The comeback seems to be going well, as according to Shiney, he’s ‘flooded with offers’. Here’s what he said in an interview to Mumbai Mirror:

On not being a part of the Welcome Back promotions.

Anees is my older brother and now my best friend. There is nothing wrong between us. I was out of the country for the last two months with my family and just got back this week. After the launch of the trailer, Anees had called and said that they had all missed me.

Shiney plays a drug addict in the movie, but he says that he’s nothing like his character.

I am an army man’s son and we fauji kids are not spoilt brats.

When asked about who his true friends are in the industry, he named Sudhir Mishra and Anurag Basu. In his words:

They’ve always been by my side. In tough times, you come to know who your real friends are. It happens to everybody’.

He doesn’t feel the same way about Mahesh Bhatt though, as they had dropped him from a movie project because of his rape allegation. He rather curtly but diplomatically said:

Bhatt Saab is dear to me and has always been there.

Some tension there, eh? Shiney is now waiting for his long-in-making movie Har Pal (also starring Preity Zinta) to release. Read the entire interview here and tell us what do you think in the comments below.
