All is Well & Manjha – The Mountain Man

After a low weekend, All Is Well slid further during the weekdays, hence resulting in collections that were below the 19 crore mark. The film was hurt by bad reviews and since the word of mouth was negligible, the film couldn’t match the scale of even its low Friday and continued to slip in collections. The film is hardly in the running in the second week and the lifetime collections are expected to be around 25 crore.

While theatrically the film hasn’t done many wonders, overall the film may just sail through. As per T-Series, the film’s producers, All Is Well was made in a budget of Rs 28 crore (Rs 21 crore – the cost of production and Rs 7 crore – P & A). Out of this, the makers have already recovered Rs 25 crore through overseas distribution, music and satellite rights. That should help the Umesh Shukla directed film gain some ground.

On the other hand, Manjhi-The Mountain Man stayed stable, albeit on the lower side. After a weekend that saw good growth, the Ketan Mehta directed film didn’t fall much below the Friday opening and went on to garner 10 crore by the end of week one. Even though these are low numbers as well, for a film of this genre, stage and setting, one didn’t expect better. Also, it is more than Paan Singh Tomar, a much bigger and more appreciated film, which collected 8 crore in its first week. Now it has to be seen how much further the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer goes, though it is an achievement no less for the actor to see his solo film on the way to comfortably cross the 10 crore mark.
