Wedding season is just around the corner and as much as we love (and pay close attention to) our outfits, it’s time to let your face do all the talking (beauty lovers, I’m looking at you). I met up with MAC Cosmetics’ formidable duo, Mickey Contractor and Sonic Sarwate as they spoke about the new Autumn/Winter 2015 makeup trends.
As I watched them create (in this case re-create) the magic seen on the runways around the world, I began to wonder how I’m ever going to choose between these trends.
Basically, it’s time to kiss over-highlighted and contoured skin goodbye. *Me waving*
Now hold on, before all hell breaks loose, here’s MAC’s inside take on the newest makeup that might calm your mental state of mind…
1. Strength Of Beauty
Perfect skin is big this season. The best part? If you’ve never gotten down to contouring perfectly, don’t sweat it. There’s no need to now, it’s all about having perfect, natural skin.
2. ’70s Red
A classic red lip. You really can’t go wrong with it. It’s fierce and bold even with the most minimal makeup on. Celebrity icons from Marilyn Monroe to Kendall Jenner and Sonam Kapoor embrace a bold red lip. It’s time you do too!
3. Beautiful & Dammed
Okay, so you’re not quite a fan of red. Yeah, I feel ya’, MAC’s got another wonder up their sleeve. Keeping up with the bold lip trend, we’re going dark. Vampy lips, a hint of shimmer and some mascara is all you need.
4. Love Worn
Are you sometimes torn between the need to create a smokey eye with the appeal of sultry, romantic eyes and well, looking like a glam diva? Check how groomed brows, faded, subtle eyeshadow and rosy, natural lips is all it takes!
