Anyone, who wants to make it as a singer in the film industry, would understand the value of being mentored by or working with Shankar Mahadevan. Not only has he composed music for some of India’s biggest films, but he’s also lent his voice to very many as well. And now, there are some lucky people out there who are getting a big opportunity to work with him.
The finale of Benadryl BIG Golden Voice recently took place in Mumbai, and the winners were Alankar Mahtolia from Delhi and Sreekanth Hariharan from Chennai. The season started off with over 1 lakh entries, so it’s an incredible deal that these two have managed to make it to the top – and now they’ll be rewarded with the opportunity to be a part of Mr Mahadevan’s next Bollywood project! After all, the winner of last season’s Benadryl BIG Golden Voice, Sayani Palit, as well as the runner-up, Digvijay Singh Pariyar, got a chance to sing for Katti Batti (the music of which was composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy). Sayani also performed Ove Janiya – the song she had sung – on stage.
Shankar Mahadevan has also promised Ashok Chauhan, a participant from Udaipur, that he’ll work with him in the future. Alankar, Sreekanth and Ashok will definitely count themselves lucky… and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for all of them :)
