In an Q & A session at the Facebook HQ, California, Mark Zuckerberg finally addressed the ‘dislike’ button option users have been requesting for since years. Here’s what he said about it –

Probably hundreds of people have asked about this, and today is a special day because today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it.”

But before we start dreaming about ‘disliking’ all those ‘love you soniyo‘ updates, or the baby pictures new parents flood their timelines with, this will be more on the lines of a ‘sad’ button. So when a friend of yours posts about losing a family member, or dealing with a break up, you can use this new button to show solidarity, instead of ‘liking’ it and making it seem that you ‘like’ that they’re sad, know what I mean?
