This weekend was truly an amazing one. And not many can proudly say they were surrounded by a few of their favourite things (okay maybe you can but this one’s better, I swear!). When I entered the Trèsmode showroom I was greeted by some
cocktails shoes – beautiful, stunning shoes that I couldn’t take my eyes off. I took a peek at the autumn/winter collection that had a variety of colours and styles, ranging from glittery pumps, to metallic heels and mostly anything and everything you would need for the ultimate date night (whether with your bae or babes). Well, that feeling lasted until 4 women who entered after me stole the show… Avani Modi, Akanksha Puri, Satarupa Pyne and Ruhi Singh.
For some of you who don’t know, there’s going to be a new movie in town, and this one you can’t miss. Madhur Bhandarkar‘s upcoming movie Calendar Girls will feature these beautiful ladies in a powerful and thrilling light. But we’re not here to talk about the movie. Let’s dive into all the amazing things you need to see from the Trèsmode A/W launch:
Wedges, classic pumps, stilettos, flats you name it and they had it! Be it neutrals, blacks, beige, browns or gold, Trèsmode’s range of shoes will make any girl’s feet feel happy (With a high-fashion edge, of course!) Oh, and they had me crushing on their animal prints flats too!
Just before the girls taught us how to hit that perfect model ramp walk, they tried on a few amazing pairs of shoes. Like a fairy godmother, Isha Bhansali styled the girls in super cute and stylish heels that were good enough to stay in forever!
After the shutterbugs clicked away at the awesome foursome, in came Madhur Bhandarkar. Madhur was super sweet, answered all the press’ questions and filled us in on a little of what to look forward to and expect in the movie. And then, of course, posed for some more pictures with props and masks!
Once the commotion died down a little, I got to chat with the girls. The vibe and energy that these four had was amazing. They were vibrant, fun and very, very down to earth. We spoke on topics varying from their personal style to them sharing stories on set and even ratting out who the biggest beauty buff from the lot was. (P.S – it’s Akanksha Puri).
Now, this moment was epic. You see, all that Madhur wanted was a nice picture on his phone with the girls. And when he asked a photographer in the crowd to click one for him, it turned out to be a disaster. So, Madhur took matters into his own hands and demonstrated how a photo was to be taken.
Most of you wouldn’t know this, but Madhur is quite a shoe lover. I spotted him by the men’s collection eyeing all the formal workwear shoes, casual loafers, and sophisticated Oxfords. Madhur went on to say how much he loved the black and classic shoes. He also picked out a favourite brunch-wear must-have which was from their suede and velvet range.
Safe to say it was a great evening. Don’t you think?
