Bollywood singer/composer Aadesh Shrivastava, who has been battling relapsed cancer, died late on Friday night in Mumbai. His condition was critical and he was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Andheri for over 40 days before he passed away.
Mr Shrivastava first battled cancer five years ago and was diagnosed with it again recently. Apparently, he had been undergoing chemotherapy but was not responding to it, which is why it was stopped.
Considering he has been such an important part of Hindi cinema music – he has composed for over 100 films – many celebrities are affected by his death. Several of them posted their condolences on social networking sites. Take a look:
