Sixteen of India’s most diverse and well-known designers celebrated the traditional Benarasi weave. Here are the designers who took part in the fashion show that marked the end of the 5 day extravaganza in Delhi: Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Namrata Joshipura, Ashish N Soni, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Abhishek Gupta, Gauri & Nainika, Alpana & Neeraj, Abraham & Thakore, Anupamaa Dayal, Malini Ramani, ATSU, Arjun Saluja, Manish Arora, JJ Vallaya, Sabyasachi, and Tarun Tahiliani.
Each and every designer brought their individuality to the ramp with designs made from local Benarasi fabrics, whether the outfits were desi or western-inspired outfits. Designers wowed us with rich brocade and eye-catching thread-work. The traditional Benarasi work has never looked edgier! It was the perfect marriage of old world charm and urban chic.
Over and above the stunning display of Indian fashion, can we just say, we love seeing the industry come together to celebrate our heritage and local art. All in all, an amazing five days of fashion.
