It’s not April and it’s not the first so I know for sure that this can’t be a pathetic prank. When J.K Rowling announced a two-part play titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, many people presumed that it would be a prequel. But guys! Surprise, surprise it’s not a prequel… it’s a SEQUEL! The sequel is about Albus Severus Potter!

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, the producer of the play Sonia Friedman revealed that ‘It’s safe to say that The Cursed Child picks up from where The Deathly Hallows ended!‘ That postscript was titled Nineteen Years Later, and it’s also the tagline for the drama created by J. K Rowling and written by Jack Thorne and John Tiffany (who will also direct).

A statement from the creative team noted that Albus Severus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted and that ‘past and present fuse ominously’ when Harry and his younger son learn the uncomfortable truth that ‘sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places’.
