The best part about working at Team MissMalini is that we literally all get along. We’re not just co-workers; we’re also really close friends. Which is why, after working hours (or so we like our bosses to think) our office space doubles up as a party place. And honestly, most of the action happens on our floors! Here’s what goes down:

Gossip sessions

It goes without saying – sometimes, after a day of work, you’ll find us chilling on the floors of the office drinking our beer and gossiping. Sometimes it’s Bollywood news, sometimes it’s our own stories. But whatever it is, if you can’t find us at our computers, you will find us in a corner of the office, spread across the floor.

Fletter

Fletter is one of our recent favourite games, and whenever we need a quick break from work, we play a round of Fletter to destress.

Yoga

Team MissMalini has signed up for Yoga classes in the office, and it’s been one of our favourite ways to gear up for the day ahead. If you pop in at 9am on some days, you’ll likely find a group of us on the floor in some, uh, questionable positions.

Beer pong

While we do have a beer pong table in the office, there have been occasions where we couldn’t pull it out because of shifting/maintenance issues. And because we take beer pong very seriously in the office and don’t like a Friday to pass without playing it, we’ve been known to play a floor version. Have you ever sat on floors and played beer pong? It’s a whole new game!

Naps

And some days when we just can’t deal with it all, we nap. There’s a particular spot in our conference room that’s just perfect for this!

And why do we have so much fun on our floors?

We picked Square Foot! They’re based in Mumbai but operate across 115 cities in India, and have over 200 flooring choices available off-the-shelf. They’ve installed more than 50 million square feet of flooring over their 20 years, and have even been used by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika PadukoneShahid Kapoor, Mukesh Ambani and Kumarmangalam Birla while decorating their homes. Plus, they’ve got flooring patterns that have been used in chateaus and castles across Europe, which is pretty awesome. Take a look at some of their patterns below:
