MTV’s show Big F with Gautam Gulati was always meant to push boundaries, and boy they pushed it hard in this one. While other channels are still stuck on babies getting exchanged and kidneys being donated, MTV has gone ahead and finally showed a same sex relationship on Indian television. Episode 6 of the show, aptly titled – I kissed a girl, is a love story between designing student Sharmistha and Madhurima, the model who is supposed to promote Sharmistha’s dresses. Sparks fly, not just between Madhurima and Sharmistha, but Madhurima and Sharmistha and her bestie who is the stud boy of the college. It takes a while for Madhurima to realize which way she swings and when she does, all hell breaks loose!
It’s good to know that some makers are trying something new in serials despite the fact that Indian television is stuck in a rut. Watch the full episode here.
