It’s here! The long awaited Splash Calendar 2016 was unveiled a few days ago at an exclusive launch party held at Splash CEO Raza Beig’s Palm Jumeirah villa.
This year’s limited edition calendar, titled Love For The Planet, aims to raise awareness and address some of the challenges that our modern society faces. Drawing inspiration from global goals set by world leaders, renowned fashion photographer Tejal Patni and international designer Furne Amato come together to create an opulent, artistic, and fashionable social awareness campaign. Raza Beig said,
“Fashion is a powerful mode of expression and this year we have taken an incredibly ambitious route by drawing inspiration from the global goals set by world leaders. Our effort with the 6th edition of the Splash calendar is to simply spread the word and get people to take notice of these pressing issues. The images tastefully blend fashion and global challenges to present to you the issue in a way that will make you take notice and believe that it is possible to achieve a society devoid of poverty, injustice to name a few issues.”
Some of the other global issues addressed include hunger, peace, education, clean water, and climate change. Fashion for a cause – we’re all for that!
