Somehow the pressure to get a date is higher on New Year’s Eve than on Valentines’ Day. Bizarre, right? Not that one holiday is less made up than the other. But don’t fear when I’m here. Being single on a big holiday is actually an advantage. You don’t have to put yourself through any cheesy celebrations and you truly get to be the one thing you always want – cool!

So here’s your cheat sheet to rocking this NYE when you’re single as a pringle:

1. Drink

There’s no pressure to drink more than you need to. You’re by yourself so just drink as much as you need to enjoy the next thing I’m going to tell you…

2. Movie marathon

We’re all so busy in our daily lives that we don’t get a night truly to ourselves. Just get comfortable and let some films change your life.

3. Be a bookworm

If movies aren’t really your scene, NYE can be a great time to catch up on your reading.

4. Dance around

Just trust me on this one, will you?

5. #BowBrowsing
