Everyone knows that Aditi Rao Hydari, Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan star in Wazir which is set to release this weekend. The film also features Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham, has been directed by Bijoy Nambiar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Going by all of Aditi Rao Hydari’s promotional outfits, we’ve been quite curious about the stars’ looks in the film, so we spoke to Shweta Sharma, the costume designer.

It was an intimidating and extremely enthralling experience for me when I presented Omkar’s (played by Amitabh Bachchan) look book to Mr.Bachchan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra for the first time. The look was inspired by archival photos of Kashmiri Pandits and German chess grandmaster Siegbert Tarrasch, with an international street style take on it. My heart was in my mouth, but they both were quite convinced with what we had designed.

She further explained that Farhan plays an ATS officer which required him to have a rather sharp, crisp wardrobe.

Aditi plays a dancer and Farhan’s wife. Heirloom fabrics, hand embroideries and exquisite lace was used to create her wardrobe. It was crafted by Jade. That explains all the promotional outfits, doesn’t it?

She describes Neil Nitin Mukesh’s character as “mysterious, dangerous and always lurking in the shadows. His look is mean and dark, but still very stylish”.
