We were very kicked yesterday because we found out that Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar will be hosting the Filmafare Awards this year. However, in a weird plot twist, Salman Khan will be hosting it now. According to a report in DNA, Salman has replaced SRK as Filmfare’s host this year and he’s charging a whooping sum of 2.5 crores for it!
A source was quoted saying:
The anchoring of the award functions has become tedious to do and watch. How many combinations can one watch Kapil Sharma and Manish Paul in? Salman is a masterstroke. He is popular and Bigg Boss has proved what a fabulous host he is. He was pursued relentlessly and the pay is close to 2.5 crores!
That’s more than 1 crore per hour!
However, I’m told that this is just a rumour and SRK is very much the anchor for the night. He’ll be joined by Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma.
