Whisper India launched its new edition of Whisper Ultra clean sanitary napkins which provides its users 5 times more protection than regular pads. The event had comedian Aditi Mittal and actress Kalki Koechlin who discussed the taboos around periods and how women all over the country are not allowed to sleep in the same beds, or even ‘touch the pickle’ as they might ‘spoil’ them. We were then showed a touching video about how Whisper’s ‘Touch The Pickle’ campaign has helped breaking stereotypes in the remote corners of the country. Kalki also featured in an interview to a news channel where she discussed periods and how important it is for men to be educated about it as well. They were then joined by Dr. Nandita who answered queries like exercising during your periods (you totally can, no more excuses) and why we crave chocolate! Dr. Chetan who was responsible for creating the new range of pads showed us the absorption powers of these new products (which was awesome). Yep,  in his demo, he placed 5 pads, of different brands, including the latest Whisper Ultra and showed us the difference in the absorbing powers of the various napkins. Whisper Ultra turns menstrual blood into a magic gel. Some couldn’t handle the heavy flow at all, some were alright while their latest range of pads looked like it could take a deluge! #SorryNotSorry. Here’s why their latest sanitary napkin is awesome –

About New Whisper Ultra: Offers 5 times more protection than ordinary pads
1000 suction holes for –
More absorption for long hours
Better dryness for clean feeling
Faster absorption for sudden heavy flows
Better comfort with soft top sheet

Dr. Nandita showcased her expertise to explain the menstruation process and the dos and don’ts every woman should incorporate in her monthly routine. She also educated all about the importance of menstrual hygiene.

All in all, it was an awesome event which entertained and educated us. On that note, check out Aditi and Kalki’s tips to #OwnThose5Days.
