In a candid interview to Spotboye.com, Subhash Ghai spoke at length about his plans to make a movie with Sanjay Dutt when the latter is out jail, and whether Sanjay Leela Bhansali is remaking Khalnayak. But what struck us the most was his honesty when it came to talking about Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty‘s Hero. Co-produced with Salman Khan, the director-producer said that the movie had no soul.

I saw Hero at its premiere. Hero felt like a beautiful body with no soul in it. A beautiful carcass! I spoke to Salman about it when he called me to ask how I felt. And he agreed with my opinion. He said that something had definitely gone wrong with the film. Beyond that, we didn’t speak.

In case you haven’t seen the movie, don’t bother, read our review instead.
