In whatever we’ve seen of Fitoor so far, Katrina Kaif looks gorgeous. She’s elegant, graceful and, quite simply, stunning. It’s an avatar of hers we love, and there was a lot of work that went into getting it just right for her character, Firdaus. In a recent behind-the-scenes video, we hear from Katrina herself and her stylist, Anaita Shroff Adajania, about what went into the designing the costumes for the film.
Here are 5 things they revealed:
Firdaus’ style is “quite schizophrenic” and at different points in her life, she chooses to dress differently.
2. Firdaus likes to show off that she has money, and therefore dresses accordingly. She likes people to notice her.
3. The team has kept a balance between western and Indian wear, since Firdaus is an Indian girl living between Delhi, Kashmir and London.
4. Firdaus comes from an affluent family with very old heritage, and that reflects in her clothes. Whether she’s wearing Indian or western, her outfits are very classic.
5. Firdaus’ style is contemporary but “classic and ageless.”
