After I finished researching for this article, it seemed that the life I’ve been living is a lie. For a significant part of my existence, I assumed Maine Pyaar Kiya was Salman Khan’s debut film. Turns out, it isn’t! And he isn’t the only one!
Here is a list of 5 actors whose cameos in films and television shows you’ve probably missed.

1. Salman Khan

Salman’s entry to Bollywood wasn’t as Prem, but as Vicky in the film Biwi Ho Toh Aisi. Can I just tell you that this piece of information has affected me rather deeply! I mean, Salman Khan wasn’t Prem from the beginning of time.
Anyway, not many may have noticed him, but thankfully, the Barjatyas did and made me say ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, every time I looked at him thereafter. 🙂

2. Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Gangs of Wasseypur wasn’t Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Bollywood debut. His very first cameo was in Aamir Khan’s Sarfarosh in the year 1999.
Don’t you feel really bad after reading this? Not for Nawaz, but for us not having noticed him until 2005! We could have seen so much more of his brilliance in those 6 years.
But as they say, better late than never!

3. Vicky Kaushal

Thankfully for us, we didn’t take as long to understand Vicky Kaushal’s talent. I, for one, totally loved him in Masaan, but never noticed his character in the multi-starrer, Bombay Velvet! That was probably because I slept my way through this film.

4. Vikrant Massey

Vikrant Massey was a TV child before he made it to the big screen with the film Lootera and the recent, Dil Dhadakne Do. You may have seen him in shows like Balika Vadhu and Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, but did you know his first stint on TV was on a Disney Channel India’s show, Dhoom Machao Dhoom?
He’s come a long way since then and is soon going to star opposite Kalki Koechlin in Konkana Sen Sharma’s directorial debut.

5. Karan Johar

Karan Johar’s grand debut may have been with Bombay Velvet, but his first outing on the big screen was in Aditya Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge. I don’t know about you, but because I love KJo so much, I had acknowledged his presence in the film when I was watching it for the 100th time or something.
