I love dancing and I never really understand anyone who tells me they don’t. I mean, what’s not to like? You can do it by yourself, with a partner, in a group, any time, anywhere… okay, maybe not anywhere; but you get my drift, right? It’s not just great for your body and mind, I feel like dancing is good for your soul. Each time I get back home from my dance class, I always feel like there’s a spring in my step and joy in my heart. So obviously I had to share my joy with the world and tell you why you need to start dancing stat.
No matter what party you go to, if you’re the person who dances a little, you’re bound to meet new people. People feel comfortable to come and dance with you and before the night ends, you’re bound to leave with more friends than you came with.
“Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy! Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands!”
Dancing not only helps you gain confidence, it also helps you become more aware of your body. You walk into a room with better posture and aren’t unsure of what to do with your arms.
Studies prove that aerobic training that incorporates some type of dance at least once a week anyone can maximize his or her brain function. Who are we to argue with “studies”?
I mean, come on!
That’s why I’m so excited about Channel V’s brand new show #D4 – Get Up And Dance. It’s a youth show with dance as the backdrop and tells the story of passionate but closet dancer Baby and how her life changes when she meets her dance idol Mikhail.
