We’re still not over our desi girl, Priyanka Chopra at the Oscars. I mean that Zuhair Murad dress, those jewels and that perfect face is all that anyone can really see and think about. While her Vanity Fair after party dress was also one hell of a stunner, we love that her hair and makeup reminded constant. Constantly amazing we’d say! So if you guys were crushing on her elegant and simple hairstyle, hairstylist to the stars, Asgar Saboo lets us in on a few tips and a step by step way of getting it done!
Step 1:
Take a small drop of oil (it could be coconut oil or argan oil), and apply it to your hair to reduce the look of frizz and ensure your hair remains sleek and glossy. Apply it from your mid lengths to the ends of your hair. Ensure you use a pea sized amount so as not to make your hair look greasy.
Step 2:
Spray your hair with a heat protectant spray to minimise heat damage. Using a paddle brush, blow dry small sections at a time until the hair is completely dry. Excess volume is not necessary but you can blow dry your hair upside down to create some natural lift.
Step 3:
Brush your hair backwards from your hairline and using a comb, draw a straight parting line down the centre of your head and split your hair to either side. This will ensure your parting is neat will make your style polished to perfection.
Step 4:
Tie your hair at the nape of your neck with a hair elastic the same colour as your hair. Then take a small strand of hair and wrap around the ponytail to cover it and to add some elegant detail.
Step 5:
Spray your hair with a light hairspray to ensure any loose strands stay put. Spritz over a shine spray to add some extra gleam when under those Hollywood lights.
