I’m not entirely sure who started this, but the whole ‘beta? kitne marks aaye?’ needs to stop. No one is defined by some numbers on a marksheet and our education system needs to come up with a better way of judging one’s aptitude. Films like 3 Idiots and Taare Zameen Par also stress on “learning” over “scoring” and the latest Bournvita ad does just that too. It feels like a breath of fresh air because mainstream brands are finally talking about such an age old issue.
