By the time we got to the third at Lakmé Fashion Week, we were all out of gas – but that didn’t come in the way of seizing the day and all! Aiman kicked off the day with some really cool designs – trust us, it was Summer/Resort to the T! The very next second we guzzled down some coffee and powered through the day like pros. (Thanks, Aiman). Through the day we saw amazing designs out on the runways, we even got exclusive designer interviews and the best part of it all, day 3 actually fuelled our souls! Without further ado, here’s the round up for day 3:
Symbolic motifs, stunning embroidery ands relaxed silhouettes – there wasn’t anything we didn’t love at the Aiman show!
Being royal never looked this good. SVA really knew all the right desi buttons to push. We love everything!
We just wanted everything from this collection. The play and mix with colours, embroidery and patterns had us lusting for more!
Boys, eat your hearts out! This collection was wicked.
With Aditi Rao Hydari walking as the showstopper, you know Reddy’s collection had to be all kinds of amazing!
This collection will be your summer inspiration for months on end! Classy, chic and prints galore!
While the cutest thing on the runway was at the end where designer Karishma Shahani a.k.a a new mommy, took a bow with her new born, we still loved the play of vibrant colours and lot and lots of layers!
Have you ever seen the perfect shirt half-tuck? Well, we did. Urvashi’s designs was minimal, effortless and something you could definitely take to work and then go lounge in. The muted colour palette was quite on point as well.
Dhruv one uped the cool factor with his poolside show and also had us fall in love with his colour palette.
Nishka’s runway felt like a sort of playground – Playground for prints we mean. With whites, yellows, denim and mesh, her designs were everything we see ourselves in this summer!
Embroidery at its finest. Exceptional work and construction of the designs, off-the-shoulder peplum-like tops, oh and your occasional BFFs walking the runway had everyone talking about Payal’s collection way after the show was done!
When it comes to Nikhil Thampi’s show, we’re at a loss for words. It felt like something right out of a Circus De Soleil. His designs we accompanied with Lakmé Salon’s brilliant play with edgy hair, makeup and nails.
This show was full of surprises, grandeur and a little neon here and there…
Sonakshi Sinha was the showstopper for Anita’s show. And for now, this is all you need to know. To check out the the rest of the designs, check this out.
