The last day of fashion week is always bittersweet. You know you’re going to miss the rush of being surrounded by that fashion buzz 24/7, but at the same time you know that your body damn well needs some R&R. To help us cope we reminisce about all the happenings of Day 5 and give you a peek into all that went down.
Kickstarting the last day of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2016 was Garo by Priyangsu & Sweta, who brought us a collection of drapes in mismatched patterns and colours, which worked in a very summery way.
Dhruv Vaish showcased a great collection of well-fitted menswear in a navy palette, with some really funky patterns that your boyfriend could most definitely use some of in his wardrobe.
A mix of pastels and bright hues ruled the Urvashi Joneja ramp and we loved it. Totally wearable and so much fun!
Prama by Pratima Pandey was femininity at its best. The flowy white dresses with floral embroidery is everything you imagine a girly summer outfit to be. And coupled with that super cute hairstyle, it was perfect!
We absolutely adored Rimi Nayak‘s collection because we could picture ourselves wearing each and every creation.
The best part of seasoned designer Neeta Lulla‘s collection was the smooth pastel colour palette. And of course, who can say no to a bit of shimmer and shine in their lives?
We could go on for days on the genius of Rahul Mishra, but suffice to say that he outdid himself. We’re going to let the pictures do the talking for this one.
Asa Kazingmei‘s creations although fantastical were also very red carpet worthy in an offbeat, edgy sort of way.
The colour progression of Priyam Narayan‘s collection went from pale to bright in the best way possible.
Bright colours on a canvas of black is always striking and we think Sourabh Kant Shrivastava managed to hit the nail on the head with what he was going for, spelling drama in an especially Summer-Resort way.
We heart stripes. Hence we heart Karn Malhotra. Nuff said!
The grand finale was everything you’d imagine a grand finale to be and more! Take a bow Mr. Bal. You are simply fantastic!
If you want to see more of Rohit Bal’s collection and get the deets on the finale, look here.
And that’s all folks, thank you and goodnight!
