Alisha Fernandes , 05 Apr 2016

Its Tuesday and I’ve been shoe-obsessing all morning, and this is what I’ve realised. Juttis should be everyone’s choice of footwear this summer. If you don’t believe me, listen to Pocket Stylist, she will tell you the same thing. And if you’re still not sold on the idea, there’s always the stylish celebrities of B-town to give you a little nudge.

Even Neha Dhupia wore them for Holi this year…

Sarah-Jane Dias wore them with this a Indo-western outfit

Karisma Kapoor also wore them with dhoti pants

She even wore these killer bright pink ones

Now, I know these are all traditional Indian looks, but juttis are so versatile that they can be paired with anything from a maxi dress or skirt to jeans and tee to take your look to the next level. What’s most fun about this though is that juttis in general have a very ethnic feel, but now with many young companies entering the market contemporarising this footwear, it has become a serious must-have in every girl’s shoe closet.

You get the drift right? So whether you go traditional or quirky, our advice is to just have fun with it because this is just another way to express your personal style.
