One of the jewels in India’s crown (pun intended) Amrapali opened the doors to its new store on the ground floor Wonder Room at world-renowned department store Selfridges, London on April 1st. Iconic Amrapali collections are housed within, including Rajasthan, Dark Maharaja, Soul Bazaar, Khilana and the new Manik collection that is exclusive to the store. We can tell that the store is divine from the pictures itself, imagine actually walking in!
In its 35 year history, the brand has served many a royal family as well as jewellery connoisseurs the world over. And their appeal lies in the fact that they take age-old jewellery-making traditions and give it new life. From enamelling to the techniques of paan wood, they do it all. And although focussed on tradition, they still manage to add a western, contemporary feel to their pieces, therefore appealing to a much larger audience.
