Vikram Bhatt has always been a very candid man. He never shies away from talking about his personal life and sharing his thoughts. According to TOI, in a recent interview he was asked about his extramarital affair with actress Sushmita Sen. He explained how he and Sushmita were a “bundle of immaturity” at the time.
I’ll share something about my life with you. I was having an extramarital affair with Sushmita (Sen) and was going through a divorce. I was very depressed – it’s like your whole life is crumbling around you. I remember standing on the sixth floor of a building, looking down and thinking, ‘What if I jump? Will it not solve all my problems?’ It was such a real thought, I stepped back. It was a moment of coming closest to suicide. We were too young, then. I was 27, she was just 20. We were a bundle of immaturity.
Bhatt and Sen started having an affair on the sets of Dastak and he left his wife for her. The two of them dated for a while and then parted ways.
