Awards come with the territory when you’re as big a movie star as Priyanka Chopra, but few as prestigious as the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic Of India. She flew down from Los Angeles to receive this award from President Pranab Mukherjee at the event hosted at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Among the others who were honoured were Rajnikanth, Sania Mirza

Stylist Ami Patel chose this jamdani weave sari from Madhurya paired with temple jewellery from Gems Art Plaza and Sumit by Apala for her to receive the award in. The lemon yellow sari, with white print and accents of light pink was a lovely choice for daywear. Uday Shirali and hairstylist Priyanka also picked a perfectly complementary look for her makeup and hair too! The light waves framed her face beautifully and her pink pout was just the right amount of colour! Look at some more pictures of this look below:

After the ceremony, PC had a little celebratory bash for which she wore this handcrafted vintage gold anarkali by Sabyasachi OF COURSE! She chose to go Indian all the way, supporting textiles and craftsmanship from the country. How apt, right? This seriously makes us so proud.
