According to the forensic chemical analysis from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Kalina, Pratyusha Banerjee, was under the influence of alcohol when she committed suicide on April 1. In a statement to Hindustan Times, a forensic expert who is a part of the investigation said –
The ethyl alcohol content is 140 mg, there have been innumerable cases of people committing suicide after consuming liquor.
The police has stated that the late actress was in debit and was a habitual drinker, the investigation has also revealed that a day before her death, Rahul and Pratyusha had organised a party, which was attended by some friends. This revelation concurs with Rahul’s statement too. A police source has also said that before her untimely death, her boyfriend Rahul had shouted at her for drinking in the afternoon. This is also something Rahul has maintained in his interview to Bombay Times as well.
