Kangana Ranaut is superwoman. She’s beautiful, talented and apparently can switch careers more seamlessly than anyone else. First as a model, then as an actor, and now as a designer, she’s aced everything she’s tried her hand at. She teamed up with Vero Moda to create a collection, Vero Moda Marquee by Kangana, for the summer and we fell in love at first sight. Her inspiration for this collection was the romantic Greek island Santorini, after which it was titled too! And you can see this very inspiration very clearly through all the pieces. The beautiful contrast of blue and white visually transports you to Greece, and you can totally imagine yourself chilling on a beach, a glass of wine in hand with the enjoying the spectacular view wearing one of these pieces of clothing.
If you look closely, aside from the just the colour combination that speaks directly of Santorini, there are other nuances as well. The prints are inspired by decorative tile patterns seen there and the silhouettes of the garments are completely resort like, to give you that holiday feeling. The entire vibe of the collection is comfortable and clean with hints of embellishment that are meant to represent the sparkle of the stunning Greek waters.
We can’t wait to see what more Kangana has up her sleeve.
