Packup

Everyone thinks it’s super glamorous, and TBH, it is to an extent. You get to meet cool people, take gorgeous photos & write about things every girl wants. Our lives are pretty damn fine, but we do have a few tricks up our sleeves to help us get by. Here’s a quick glimpse into what a day in our lives looks like…

In the morning

I’ll be honest, I can’t leave the house without doing my eyebrows and putting on some coverup. Whether it’s to work or to the gym, Lakmé’s new 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation feels like I have nothing on my face – so I’m not itching to take it off all day long. Make sure you read the review here.

In the morning…

Around noon

Breakfast is the fuel that helps us get by, because quite often we don’t even notice when lunchtime comes and goes by. So it’s definitely a pre-requisite. Once I’m done getting dressed after the gym, I touch up my makeup and head to work – it’s all about the emails after that.

Around noon…

In the afternoon

When there’s a shoot scheduled for the day (which is almost every day) I always make sure I start with a look that requires light makeup and then build on that. That way you’re not taking it off completely and starting all over again.

P.S. We wouldn’t be able to function without a regular ideation session. It gets your creative juices flowing and that excellent content just keeps on coming!

In the afternoon…

Towards the evening

Once the shoots are over, it’s the packing up that looks like it will never end. I always make sure I put whatever I’m done shooting away as soon as I take it off. That way, when the shoot is over, you’re all set to leave.

In the evening…

After about ten outfit changes, the only thing that remained a constant was my foundation – weightless but unmoving.

As a blogger, you may have 10 things to do in a day, and sometimes just the one. What you need to remember is to keep the flow going strong and be regular. There are a few things you need to keep your day from falling apart and once you find a great balance, it’s important to stick to it. For me, I make sure I write everything down, that way, I don’t let anything slip. When it comes to my beauty game, as long as I have a base that’s good for the day, I can add to it with ease for my shoots or just keep it as is – either way, I’m looking great, which means I feel great too. Lakmé’s new 9 to 5 weightless mousse foundation is perfect for my everyday needs. It’s smooth, super weightless and you really feel and look like you have nothing on.
