Seeing who walks away with the awards on IIFA night is always a big deal, but what’s just as fun is watching the numerous celebrity performances. And for this year’s show – which will be held at the end of this month in Madrid – Shiamak Davar has been roped in as the official choreographer and entertainment designer. He’ll be planning all the celebrity performances, and it promises to be a hell of a show.
As a choreographer, the IIFA Awards provides a great platform to showcase the progress of our cinema to a new destination each year. The fan following of Bollywood is global, and IIFA ensures we reach out to as many enthusiasts in as many places year after year. The stage is a canvas and the Wizcraft team always gives me creative freedom to design it as per my vision. The stars have limited time due to their busy schedules, but we try to pack in as much to ensure the eventual performance is breath taking. They’re all extremely hard working and committed. IIFA promotes cultural exchange and this effort goes a long way in making Bollywood reach newer audiences year after year.
