Our bosslady MissMalini and supercool CEO Nowshad Rizwanullah never cease to give us #RelationshipGoals. The two had a gorgeous Goa wedding in 2012 and they still look like teenagers in love! They share an everlasting bond and we absolutely admire the adorable couple. During almost every Team MissMalini party, we always end up thronging the lovebirds and asking them to share their love story with us. Because that’s how much we enjoy hearing it, especially, when they talk about their Day Of Love – that particular moment when they knew that they are meant to be together forever… the moment when they found their soulmates in each other… the moment that they will cherish for life…
I got both of them to share their ‘moment of love’ just to affirm that true irrevocable love like THIS still exists in today’s day and age. Here you go!
Malini reminisces the moment when she found her soulmate:
Ok so we had been dating for about 6 months and it was my brother’s wedding. That night after the Sangeet, Nowshad told me he got into Harvard Business School and he also said “I love you” for the very first time. I didn’t know what to do. I was so happy he said I love you and proud of him but also totally traumatized that he would be leaving for two whole years. I cried a lot that night. The next day he came over and I was so sad and said, “But you’re leaving what if you don’t come back for me?” and he looked at me and said, “Are you crazy? It took me soooo long to find you, do you think I’m going to let you go just like that?!” And for me, THAT moment marked our ‘platinum day of love’, because just like Platinum, I knew our love would be eternal!
Nowshad shares his side of the story:
Getting into HBS was bittersweet. Malini and I had only recently started building our relationship, and we were just getting to really know each other. Long distance dating is tough, and in my experience, rarely works out. But when you meet someone that shines so bright, you know you can never let them go, and nothing seems impossible. Our platinum day of love is the day I promised Malini that I’d come back for her, and the day she agreed to stick with me through whatever two years of long distance had in store for us. It was the day I knew that this was forever. And nothing celebrates that moment better, than a pair of platinum love bands, which I would love to get for Malini.
