Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was an instant blockbuster as soon as it released. Hrithik Roshan became a star overnight and Ameesha Patel’s name got added to Bollywood’s infamous one-hit-wonder list. Not too many people know that Rakesh Roshan initially wanted Kareena Kapoor to debut with the film. Can you imagine how different things might have been then? Bebo even shot for the movie and as it turns out, her bit made it to the final cut of the film.

She told Film Companion that her first shot ever was for KNPH:
My first shot was for Rakesh Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. And it’s still there in the film! It’s there – behind the rock, there’s a scene in a blue sweater and jeans. That’s me, not Ameesha.
