Consent is the most important thing when it comes to sex. We are constantly talking about it but somehow not many seem to understand it. In a recent interview with Marie Claire, actress and comedian, Amy Schumer, spoke about her first sexual experience and how her first time was not consensual.
My first sexual experience was not a good one. I didn’t think about it until I started reading my journal again. When it happened, I wrote about it almost like a throwaway. It was like, and then I looked down and realized he was inside of me. He was saying, ‘I’m so sorry’ and ‘I can’t believe I did this.’… I had another time with a boyfriend where I was saying, ‘No, stop,’ and it was just completely ignored.
She continued saying that she doesn’t hold anything against him. She doesn’t consider herself a victim as it was 17 years ago.
