The past week has been a fashion-packed one! India Couture Week 2016 brought forth the best designers showcasing their spectacular collections, and we were right there to experience it. Apart from the jaw dropping outfits, we noticed that the models had their hair and makeup on point too! Here are some of our favourites.
Deepika wowed the world when she walked the ramp in Manish Malhotra’s Persian-themed lehenga, but our eyes were glued to her beautiful face. Sporting super smoky eyes and a sleek, knotted bun, the actress oozed sultriness.
Pops of pink or orange on the lower lash line, intense blush application, thick braids… Anita Dongre’s models looked full of colour and fun! To imitate this look, try out MAC’s Process Magenta Chromographic Pencil or Basic Red Chromographic Pencil. Follow up with a mix of the Azalea Blush and Pink Swoon Blush for pink cheeks, or a blend of Devil Blush and Mandarin Blush for a shock of orange.
Neutral-toned makeup prevailed at the Tarun Tahiliani show. To complement the sparkle of the outfits, the models flaunted amber shadow with hints of gold glitter and brownish-nude lipstick. Their contoured cheeks could give Kim Kardashian a run for her money! Copy the look by using MAC’s Shadester Sculpting Powder on your cheeks, along with a swipe of Mocha Lipstick. Don’t forget to add a pretty flower to your hair-do!
Along with the awesome tunes that played at the show, the makeup on the models was stunning too. The ethereal eyes and bold pouts stayed true to theme of love. For a similar look, layer MAC’s Reflects Gold Glitter on top of the Embark Eye Shadow. Line your lips with the Plum Lip Pencil and fill it in with a red lipstick.
With their dewy skin, jewelled hairbands and pink pouts, the models for Varun Bahl fit right with the garden theme. To get their radiant glow, apply MAC’s Cream Colour Base. Line your lips with Talking Points Lip Pencil and then use a mix of Relentlessly Red Lipstick and Please Me Lipstick.
Rich hues, opulent jewels and Kangana Ranaut made Manav Gangwani’s Mughal-themed show an absolute hit! For a royal pout like the models, line your lips with MAC’s Night Moth Lip Pencil and fill it in with the Diva Lipstick. Blend the Print Eye Shadow and Scene Eye Shadow for those beautiful, blue-grey eyes.
Finales are all about grandeur… and Rohit Bahl’s show was no different! With their smoky eyes and red lips, the models looked like true showstoppers. Imitate this look with the help of MAC’s Carbon Eye Shadow and Ruby Woo Lipstick.
