For the Balmain’16 ad campaign shoot, creative director Olivier Rousteing had Kim Kardashian and Kanye West looking wayy too fly – as usual! Are you eyes hurting from all that glitz and sparkle. Yeah, OTT but Kim and those kurves were looking oh-so-good, right?
Now Kim didn’t quite take the whole look to the streets per se, but she definitely knew how to keep that Balmain element to her daily outfit. Wearing those glitzy pants in broad daylight, Kim paired it with a black v-neck and an oversized army green jacket.
We’re pretty much in love with how Kim dialled it down… It definitely makes one hell of a ootn statement still, right?!
So here’s how you can keep/make a style statement without going OTT:
- Have only 1 piece be a bold stand out from the rest of the look
- Pair it with neutrals (Like Kim did with the Khaki and black colours)
- If you’re opting for a casual/chilled look make sure at least 1 piece of clothing is slightly oversized (This will give it more of an effortless and laid-back feel)
