So we have news – both bad and good. Bad news is that Shahid Kapoor does not want to judge TV shows anymore. But, here’s the deal: the actor said in an interview with DNA that he would love to host shows, if given a chance.
Looks like Shahid had a blast hosting IIFA with his ‘Raju’ avatar. Remember, IIFA’s quirky hosts, Raju aur Pappu (Farhan Akhtar and Shahid)? Of course, you do. Everyone loved the fun duo so much that public demand brought them back on stage for IIFA, this year.
Actors are leaning on to judging dance reality shows gradually (Hrithik Roshan with Just Dance, Shilpa Shetty with Super Dancer, Madhuri Dixit with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and So You Think You Can Dance and now Jacqueline Fernandez with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa), but Shahid isn’t.
Shahid, being the modest actor he is, said:
I felt I was a misfit as a judge on the show. I loved hosting the show for those few episodes I did. But when you have such talented dance gurus sitting, it becomes very awkward for me to judge anyone. I don’t think I am that big yet. I cannot say bad things to anyone and it was very difficult for me to criticise anyone’s performance.
We completely disagree with you on this, Shahid! You do whatever you want, we love you anyway! Shahid took to hosting for the ‘Shaandaar‘ special Jhalak episode, last season. We’re sure he would make a fab host!
