All eyes are on Deepika Padukone at the moment as she gears up for her big Hollywood debut – xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage. But if you think the babe had it easy, you’re mistaken. In fact, DP didn’t even want to do the film in the first place because she thought she wasn’t ready for international projects. So cute! Like, Deepika can ever be not good enough. Sigh.
While speaking to HT Cafe, she said:
Initially, I didn’t feel like I was ready [to take up an international project]. I was offered films in the past too, but they just didn’t feel right. I have always followed my heart and my instinct.
She also admitted that her journey in Bollywood hasn’t been easy and that she was offered “stereotypical roles” for many years before she found something cool to do.
