I’m sure you know what a Freshers’ Week is all about, right? If not, here’s the low-down… It’s the first week that every student spends at the University they got into and mingle around – Yup, no pressure there, right?! *Rolls eyes*. While a set of new friends in a new place with a new system and new activities are scary enough, there’s that inauguration party to add to the list.

But hold up, don’t let that phase you out yet. We’ve got a complete list of the basics that will have you covered!

1. A cute outfit – Duh!

Any and every occasion needs a LIT outfit, right? It’s preferable to have smooth skin to match your perfect outfit. So take that Gillette Venus razor, shave your arms and legs and get ready to flaunt that smooth skin all night! Also, choose an outfit you can dance in. Comfort is key so remember to choose a pair of shoes that won’t have you crying after the night is over!

2. Bobby pins & hair ties

Whether your hair is in an up-do, or you’ve taken the pain of curling it and applying hair spray, it’s bound to get out of place from how you’ve set it earlier. This is why a couple bobby pins and hair ties are a must! Keep them in a pouch in your handbag or clutch and when that pesky frizzy strand comes out, you know what you have to do!

3. Lip gloss/balm

It’s not okay to have cracked or dry lips – especially when that cute guy across the room eyeing you might just land up giving you some sugar (if you know what I mean) 😉 So, always carry that lip balm or lip stain with you, so you keep your pout hydrated and kiss-ready!

4. A battery pack

Um, hello – Snapchat and Instagram stories can take up all your battery. And what’s a party if you have no Snapchats to prove it, right? Also, your parents might call so you may need to keep your phone alive and well. An extra battery pack will save your life!

5. Confidence

All in all, it all boils down to how you carry yourself. Confidence is something no one’s born with, but everyone needs to have! Whether you’re short or tall, thin or curvy, how you carry yourself and make the most of what you have is what matters. So, wear what you need to, show off some smooth moves on the dance floor, remember to have fun and make memories along the way 🙂
