Panasonic MTV Spoken Word is back with its second season. Previously, they have launched singles by hip hop legends – Badshah, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Raftaar and Diljit Dosanjh, among others. Badshah’s new single, Driving Slow, that released on Panasonic MTV Spoken Word 2, is about his journey and the ups and downs he faced. While stressing on how the rapper stayed slow and steady throughout his journey, the song also focuses on how he overcame any obstacles. In the first season of the show, he released his singles, Bandook and Pinjra. He’s winning hearts (and views) again with Driving Slow.
Driving Slow is topping the Indian Pop list on iTunes. The single holds a special place in the rapper’s heart. After all, it mirrors his life. He said:
This is the second year of my association with this show and this season’s rap is an echo of my life. I have tried to bring in authentic and Indian hip-hop through my new song, and I’m sure many youngsters will be able to relate to it.
