You might think that it’s obvious that fur is on trend. After all, it is Fall-Winter ’16, isn’t it? And for the most part, you’d be right, except that we live in India and usually you don’t see much of that in the tropics. But this Winter-Festive season was different. Sabyasachi introduced fur to his collection in a big way and what a Grand Finale it was for Lakme Fashion Week! So, all things considered, it seems like the perfect time to discuss FENTYxPUMA’s upcoming release – The Fur Slide. Ever since she became the Creative Director of PUMA, Rihanna has managed to introduce her distinct sensibility and innovation to the brand, which is quite evident from the love FENTYxPUMA has received so far! Just like her music, her collaborations with PUMA also draw inspiration from her fearless, strong style! The newest launch- the Fur Slide is a spin on their classic Leadcat silhouette, giving it a bold, luxurious edge that is so classically Rihanna. Giving the timeless PUMA performance sandal worn by soccer players off the field, a makeover was the idea. And she gave it a soft, comfortable faux fur strap and a satin foam backing. The basic sandal has basically gotten an extreme makeover of the best kind.
For starters, we’ll buy anything Rihanna’s designing or wearing, so that’s a no brainer. Then, when it’s a product this comfortable AND on trend, why the hell not, amirite? The Fur Slide is the comfiest option in terms of on trend footwear and it comes in black and white, so if you’re anything like me you’ll get yourself one of each!
