Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are currently busy shooting for their upcoming project Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Varun has wowed audiences in the past with his roles and it looks like he is at it again. According to a report, the actor drank few pegs of whisky to get into the skin of the character for an emotional scene in the film. Apparently, Varun also got drunk for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania to essay his role better.
Varun, who is believed to be less of a drinker, was still feeling the effect of the drink and chose to sleep for an hour before continuing the shoot. The actor may have had a tough time but turns out it paid off and he received lots of praise for the scene.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, an insider was quoted saying:
Varun had a few drinks, that too neat, to prepare for the scene. The idea worked, as the scene went off well. Even the director, Shashank Khaitan praised his performance. Varun knew that he could not have managed such a natural performance without those drinks.
Reportedly, Varun said in a statement:
I had a few drinks as the scene required that kind of an effect. I was high for a while, but everything was okay.
We cannot wait to watch Varun in this scene!
