Karan Johar‘s Diwali release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is in trouble as MNS workers have called for a ban on the film’s release unless Fawad Khan‘s character is chopped out of the final edit. The political party also issued a diktat asking Pakistani actors to leave the country in 48 hours in wake of the terrorist attack in Uri, Kashmir.
Now, reports suggest that Salman Khan has stepped in to help KJo out of this mess and called up MNS President Raj Thackeray, requesting him to put an end to the matter and let Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and other films in the radar such as Raees release without any hassle.
Interestingly, Salman and Karan are not exactly on friendly terms, especially after the former opted out of Karan’s much ambitious project, Shuddhi. It was reported that Karan’s participation in the AIB roast, which also targeted Sallu’s sister, Arpita Khan was the reason he was miffed with the director.
It is yet to be seen if MNS pays heed to Salman’s request. But hey, seems like Karan and Salman have buried their differences! :)
