The Bigg Boss house has seen more than its fair share of ugly fights, ‘planning and plotting’ and loads of drama. But you know what they say, ‘jaha takrar hai, waha pyaar hai’, which brings us to the many lovebirds we have seen in the fateful house. Proof that love can blossom anywhere, but we are not taking guarantee for the expiry date. Shall we go down memory lane and recollect all the rumoured and some not-so-rumoured link ups in the house?
Here we go!
1. Season 1: Anupama Chopra and Aryan Vaid
Ah, season 1. Always rooted for it as the best of all so far. Models Anupama Chopra and Aryan Vaid became really close to each other during their stay in the house and were in touch for a short while even after the show ended. However, there were speculations that it was a publicity stunt to garner more votes.
2. Season 2: Payal Rohatgi and Rahul Mahajan
Rahul Mahajan is really confused in life. After a divorce from his wife Shweta, he was dating Payal Rohatgi, with whom he took part in Season 2 of Bigg Boss. He was going strong with her when suddenly. . .
3. Season 3: Monica Bedi and Rahul Mahajan
He developed feelings for Monica Bedi and even proposed marriage. No wasting time here! Monica, however, refused his proposal.
Payal is now in a steady relationship with wrestler Sangram Singh and Rahul divorced Dimpy Ganguly, his swayamvar wife, a few years ago.
4. Season 3: Diana Hayden and Ashutosh Kaushik
These two were proof that opposites attract. They were seen chatting in the house for long hours and stuck together all time, but the relationship fizzled with nothing substantial coming out of it.
5. Season 3: Claudia Ciesla and Pravesh Rana
She didn’t know Hindi and his English was not good either. Yet, the two bonded quite well and were seen getting intimate quite a few times during the show. A few years after the season ended, Pravesh gave a statement in the media saying he does not even have Claudia’s number, implying they are no more in touch with each other.
6. Season 4: Sara Khan and Ashmit Patel
Ashmit Patel and Sara Khan were inseparable! It was only when Sara left for a brief while that Ashmit found love in Veena Malik. The funny part was Sara referring to Ashmit as her brother once she returned.
7. Season 4: Sara Khan and Ali Merchant
These two got married ON the show! Sara’s alleged ex Ali Merchant, whose pictures she tore in the house, came to the house and asked her to marry him. AND just like that, they did! When the marriage did not last over two months, there were rumours that the wedding was staged and the duo was paid 50 lakhs each for it!
8. Season 4: Veena Malik and Ashmit Patel
Their excessive PDA in the the show made it obvious that they were a couple. There were even rumors of the two staying together post the show. News of the duo working together in a movie also did rounds for a while. But the couple soon split and Veena is now happily married with two kids.
9. Season 5: Pooja Bedi and Akashdeep Saigal
While a lot of housemates seemed to have a problem with Akashdeep aka Sky Walker‘s short temper, Pooja Bedi didn’t. They hit it off together really well and were together as a couple for a long time even after the show ended. Sky also got his bicep inked with Pooja’s name to express his love for her.
10. Season 6: Sana Khan and Rajeev Paul
Rajeev Paul entered the house with his then wife Delnaz Irani and the two seemed too much in love until Rajeev started getting closer to Sana Khan. The two always denied being involved and they continue to be friends till date.
11. Season 6: Sana Khan and Vishal Karwal
Sana and Vishal Karwal were friends before the latter came on the show as a wild card entry. They made a good looking couple and were often seen hanging out together.
12. Season 6: Karishma Kotak and Vishal Karwal
Just as we started thinking that Sana and Vishal might be a thing, the latter shifted his loyalties to Karishma Kotak. They dated even for a few years after the show ended before parting ways in 2014.
13. Season 7: Tanisha Mukherjee and Armaan Malik
Tanisha and Armaan got very close to each other and defended each other under any circumstances. Post the show, they were together inspite of opposition from Tanisha’s family as they reportedly did not approve her choice. They wanted to take their relationship to the next level and Arman’s close friend Mika Singh also made an announcement on a social networking website. However, the duo mutually decided to part ways after a while.
14. Season 7: Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon
#Gaushal were one of the most loved couples and we loved seeing them together. Kushal even made claims on the show of wanting to grow old with Gauahar. They also appeared together in a music video. However, the relationship did not last long. A few months later, Kushal announced on Twitter that he and Gauahar are no longer a couple. Their break-up came as a surprise to many, but they are again in the news as there are chances of them getting back.
15. Season 8: Diandra Soares and Gautam Gulati
Gautam and Diandra shared a sizzling chemistry with each other and created a stir when they kissed each other in the bathroom. However, it did not last for long as Gautam confessed during one of the tasks on the show that they were ‘just friends’.
16. Season 8: Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel
They were another favourite couple who fell in love on the show. UpMa had a crazy fan following and were together for a long time after the show ended. They also participated in the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 7, where Upen proposed Karishma and the two got engaged on the show itself. They were also seen judging MTV channel’s Love School. Just when we thought they are here to stay, Upen broke the news of their split. *sobs*
17. Season 9: Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula
Prince was an innocent philanderer, who made his feelings transparent for co-contestant Yuvika Chaudhary. The romance was soon over as Yuvika got evicted but as per reports, there might be something brewing between them, just as we gear up for the next season of the show.
18. Season 9: Nora Fatehi and Prince Narula
After Yuvika’s eviction, Prince pursued wild card entry Nora Fatehi and they were often seen getting cosy together. Prince quite openly admitted his love for Nora but after the show, they maintained the ‘just friends’ tag.
Bottomline: Barely any couple is together.
