We have been looking forward to this round midweek madness to begin for a really long time. FDCI presents Amazon India Fashion Week kicked off its first day with some uber talented designers and some creative shows. While the opening show was the perfect ode to the good old chanderi, the last one of the day got us in the groove! As the opening show of AIFW the sequence was phenomenal with over 16 designers showcasing their take on chanderi. From prints to frills, this show started the affair with a bang. And as if the collection wasn’t enough to awe us, we even saw Aditi Rao Hydari walk the ramp for Raw Mango. Could we have asked for anything more?

The second show of the day did not fail to surprise us with elegant white mood and vintage silhouettes. Samant Chauhan truly outdid himself by creating a collection that was positive and feminine with gorgeous floral embroidery.

We have so much love for this collection due to its fun concoction of colours. Krishna Mehta‘s show was an enigmatic take on fresh fashion with prints. Who would not root for vibrant colours on the ramp?

From sheer to applique, this collection of Rina Dhaka looked like a power packed show on the runway. The unique sheer skirt with floral motifs was the talk of the town because why not! Way to go, Rina!

The last show was full of drama as expected! It was a perfect ending to a phenomenal start of the fashion week.
