It’s true when it’s said that good things come to those who wait. Well, all I can say is that it was most definitely worth the wait. Day 5 at Amazon Fashion Week began with Felix Bendish, Mine of Design by Ambar Pariddi Sahai, Whatever by Abhishek Kankaria & Shrruti Tapuria that showcased jewellery, Rehane, Soltee by Sulakshana Monga and for menswear – Dhruv Vaish, Pawan Sachdeva, Sahil Aneja. While the last day had a bit of everything, JJ Valaya & Alpana Neeraj‘s “Guru-Shishya” was breathtakingly magnanimous. It was the first time ever has any fashion week showcased a concept like this.

Here is everything you need to know about Day 5:

Bendish Felix

His jewels were edgy, wearable and were handcrafted in nickel free metal. The mix of gold and colour used together in his line made it stand out effectively.

Mine Of Design By Ambar Pariddi Sahai

This collection had hints of heritage jewels that our mothers wore. These jewels richly were encrusted with ghungroosthali work and vintage coins that took me back to accessories of ancient times.

Whatever by Abhishek Kankaria & Shrruti Tapuria

It was extravagant and rightfully made for that woman who wants to shine bright and stand out in a crowd. Ileana D’cruz, as the showstopper did absolute justice looking like a stunner.

Rehane

Perfect for the summer of 2017, Rehane’s collection came in simple silhouettes in pastel hues detailed with floral embellishments accentuating every outfit to the fullest.

Soltee by Sulakshana Monga

Her collection displayed hints of modernised Victorian silhouettes with drapes and embroidered ornamentation. Also, showstopper Divya Khosla Kumar added that extra oomph to this collection with her presence.

Exit

Dhruv Vaish

Bold, vibrant prints and geometric patterns were an integral part of this collection. Keeping the silhouettes almost classic, the vivid colour palette was the highlight of his collection.

Exit

Pawan Sachdeva

His collection was strong on layering pieces like statement bombers, light summer jackets and biker jackets. Every ensemble is graphically highlighted with a mix textures like embossing, cut work and colour blocking. Absolutely loved every detail in this collection.

Exit

Sahil Aneja

Plaids, stripes and patchwork were displayed in this collection in mostly pastel hues. Layering with different lengths of garment took a fresh perspective on menswear in his collection.

Exit

JJ Valaya & Alpana Neeraj

‘Festive’ was represented by JJ Valaya’s grandeur and opulence, and ‘modern’ by Alpana-Neeraj’s for their “Guru-Shisya” finale show. Both having strikingly different sensibilities and contrasting aesthetics came together to create a magical experience.
