Young-lings like Parineeti Chopra tend to veer towards the contemporary even with their desi choices, so it was quite a surprise to see her in an ultra-traditional sari from Jade by Monica & Karishma. We’ll admit that it was for a Durga Puja shoot for HT Cafe and not general styling, but nonetheless it was lovely to see her in this avatar. The gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous pink colour and the zari border were both delicious-looking! So bright and festive in itself, but with that printed weave it just went to another place all together. Celebrity stylist Sanjana Batra chose to complement this traditional sari with some gold jhumkas and traditional temple-type jewellery. All of it, the mala, the rings and the bangles, perfectly complemented the muted gold sheen of the outfit.
