It’s karwa chauth today and Neil Nitin Mukesh is very excited. His fiance Rukmini Sahay and he will be fasting together as it’s a tradition for the Mukesh family. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Neil revealed how his father Nitin has been fasting for the last 40 years for his mother Nishi and he will be doing the same. The actor believes that this is the most romantic thing a man can do for his partner but he also thinks it’ll be difficult to pull off an entire day of fasting because he’s like a cranky kid who needs food every two hours (very relatable).
On celebrating the day with Rukmini and what he plans to gift her, he said –
I am giving her a handcrafted jewellery set since she loves jewellery. There’ll also be a fancy seven-course meal to break the fast at my South Mumbai pad. This time, the extended Mukesh parivaar will join in for celebrations since it’s Rukmini’s first Karva Chauth with us.
