At MAMI recently, Shahid Kapoor sat down for a chat with Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand, where he discussed everything from his films to his personal life. He spoke quite a bit about wife Mira and baby Misha, and had some of the sweetest things to say about marriage and fatherhood:
I think I’m a lot more centred. I understand the priorities in my life, I understand what I want to focus on and what I want to give my time to. It’s kind of brought me together, because when you’re an individual, there’s so many things you can do. I was living alone for more than 10 years. Everything was possible; I could do whatever I wanted. I was the master of my own will. That kind of changes, and in the beginning it’s really difficult, because you feel – oh my God, I can’t do what I want to do anymore. And then I started feeling like… how was I doing all those things? This is awesome! It’s so beautiful. I know what I want to do, I know what my day’s going to look like, I know where I want to be when I’m free. When I’m not working, I want the time to chill, maybe get a workout session in. That’s it. I love that. I love the fact that it’s kind of defined my priorities.
